Robert Matheney M.D. F.A.C.C.

Dr. Robert Matheney earned his undergraduate and medical degree from University of Arkansas. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Tulane University and a cardiovascular fellowship with the University of Tennessee. He is board-certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Matheney has been active in the development of our peripheral vascular disease clinic. His specialties include interventional cardiology and peripheral percutaneous interventions, including coronary and renal angiography, angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy, lower extremity angioplasty, placement of permanent pacemakers and cardiac defibrillators.

Recognized by his peers for his expertise in clinical cardiology, he is active in both the state and local chapters of the American Heart Association. He also is active in educating students and residents at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation.
